- The Lakers are interested in Allen Iverson reports Stephen A. Smith and according to Adrian Wojsnaroski of Yahoo Sports Gilbert Arenas went through a workout with Lakers officials there.
- The Boston Celtics beat the Rose-less Chicago Bulls 95-91 as Rajon Rondo gets a triple-double. Are they a legitimate contender to win it all? Nope.
- The Washington Wizards get their 6th win in the season. Wow.
- Monta Ellis exploded once again scoring 33 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets 106-97.
- In the Southeast division battle the Heat beat the Hawks very easily 107-87.

- According to HockeyInsider would love to add Ryan Smith from the Edmonton Oilers, the Habs and LA Kings are talking about a possible trade, the Canucks are frontrunners for Ruutu, the Flyers and Blackhawks are searching for defensemen and the Capitals are looking for a Center. For all the details click on this.
- The Detroit Red Wing's tie the record for straight wins at home by winning their 20th one against the Flyers. They have a chance the set a new record Tuesday against the Dallas Stars and it looks like they will get it but you never know.
- The New York Rangers beat the Washington Capitals showing again why they are the #1 team in the NHL. This is hard stretch for the Rangers as they faced the Devils, Ligthning, Flyers, Capital and tomorrow the Bruins.

- Roy Oswalt is still mulling his options. He will probably sign with a team the coming week or two.
- Baseball season is near! As it was Truck Day for the Red Sox and the reporting date for the Seattle Mariners on Saturday. So the MLB is back and in about two months the season will be underway.

- Zambia are the African Cup of Nations Champions as they beat Ivory Coast 8-7 in penalties. Congratulations to the underdog, Zambia! (I got my prediction wrong yesterday..)
- In England Manchester City gained back the first place by beating Aston Villa 1-0 and in the other game of they day the Wolves lost to West Brom 5-1
- In Italy Inter was upset by Novara which just recorded its 3rd win this season. Inter has shown why Jose Mourinho is the best in the world, just remember how much of a power Inter was under him.
- In Spain the big teams dominated this Sunday as Real Madrid beat Levante 4-2, Villareal beat Granada 3-1, Valencia thrashed Sporting Gijon 4-0. In the other games Espanyol lost to Zaragoza 0-2, Malaga beat Mallorca 3-1 and Rayo Vallecano beat Getafe 2-0.
- Luis Suarez has apologized for his actions in saturday's game:
I have spoken with the manager (Kenny Dalglish) since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong," he said in a statement on the Liverpool official website. "I've not only let him down, but also the club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened. "I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions. "I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football."
