Sports Journal Note: I want to apologize for not writing a post yesterday. Those who follow us on Twitter probably know that I have been having connection problems and it was really hard to post. Again, I am sorry and because it's a new month, it's time for new things too. So I might write a post tomorrow with what to look forward too this month in this site.

NFL:
- .If you haven't heard already, legendary quarterback Peyton Manning was released by the Indianapolis Colts. I think that they made the wrong move,as @NotSportsCenter put it, "
Indy becomes first in
#NFL history to release their entire team all at once ". With this move, free-agency got a whole lot more interesting. So where does he end up? Give us your opinion and check the article on Peyton Manning here, this Friday night. - Plaxico Burress is interested in a return to the Giants but the Eagles still look to be on the top of his list and he also said very good words concerning Tom Coughlin. Didn't he say that he didn't want to play for him after coming out of jail last season?
- Mario Manningham actually wants to stay with the Giants but they are not making progress on a new deal. This Giants team could be dangerous for years to come if GM Jerry Reese is able to keep the team together.
- Jerry Rice thinks that the San Francisco 49ers should sign Peyton Manning.
- Randy Moss will work out for two teams and he already worked out for the New Orleans Saints and he impressed. Moss to the Saints? Good Fit?
- Thomas DeCoud and the Atlanta Falcons agreed on a new deal.
NBA:
- Has Linsanity stopped? I think so as Jeremy Lin has established himself as a good player. Well on that night that Tyson Chandler got his ring from the Mavericks, Jeremy Lin scored 14 points and recorded 7 assists as the Knicks lost to the defending-champions 85-95.
MLB:
- In Spring Training a lot of pitchers have returned from injury or are making their debuts with new teams. I will list a few of them below:
- Michael Pineda debuted for the Yankees as he looked pretty good but his velocity lowered according to some scouts. Of course, this is just Spring Training.
- Johan Santana pitched two scoreless innings and said that he felt good. At last good news for New York Mets' fans.
- Josh Johnson of the Miami Marlins almost recorded two scoreless as he had 1 and 2/3 scoreless innings in his first game back from injury.
- Jamie Moyer made his debut with the Colorado Rockies and threw two scoreless innings allowing only one hit.
- In one very anticipated debut, Yu Darvish threw two scoreless inning as he allowed three hits and 26 of his 36 pitches were strikes. Everyone's looking at Yu.
- According to John Heyman, the Baltimore Orioles might add Johnny Damon. It is very weird to see him without a team yet. Where do you think he'll land?
- To Yankees fans: Mariano Rivera will announce if he will continue playing or retire close to the All-Star Game. Please do not. But if he does, he will go down as the greatest closer ever.
- In 2013 Free-Agency news, Cole Hamels and the Philadelphia Phillies are talking and might reach a deal. Maybe he'll pull a Cliff Lee on them and join the Yankees.
- Former All-Star Carlos Guillen called it a career as he retired. He agreed to a minor-league deal with the Mariners in free-agency but failed to complete his comeback as he opted to retire.
Soccer:
- APOEL! APOEL! APOEL! In case you haven't understood yet, APOEL beat Lyon in shootout as they could not decide a winner in regular time and in overtime. Congratulations APOEL! #PROUD
- In the other Champions League game, Barcelona embarrassed Bayern Leverkusen as they beat them 7-1. No this is not a typo, they really did win 7-1.
- In FA Cup action Stevenage could not pull of the upset as they lost to Tottenham 3-1.
