NFL:
  • The Buffalo Bills and Stevie Johnson are "far apart" on contract talks an anonymous source told the Associated Press.
  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Earnest Byner to coach the team's RB's reports PewterReport.com
NBA:
  • Linsanity continues! The New York Knicks beat the defending champions Dallas Mavericks 104-97 as it was the Linovak show at Madison Square Garden as Steve Novak scored 5 out 6 three pointers and Lin added 28 points! Baron Davis did not make his debut as a Knick but J.R. Smith did and he scored 15 points and look pretty solid in his debut. When Carmelo returns this Knick team could be very very dangerous but only if Melo plays less iso.
  • The Miami Heat beat their Florida neighbors 78-90 as Dwayne Wade had 27 and Lebron added 25.
  • The Minnesota Timberwolves were able to win a very close game against the 76ers as Kevin Love scored the game winning free-throws after Philly fouled him with 0.01 seconds left in the game.
  • Kevin Durant scored career high 51 points Sunday night to beat the Denver Nuggets 118-124. Do you think that Durant will be able to break Kobe's 81 someday? Tell us in the comments.
NHL:
  • James Neal signed a six year $30 million contract extension with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
  • The Detroit Red Wings look unstoppable at home as they beat the San Jose Sharks at the Joe Louis Arena as they captured their 23rd straight home win! 
  • The St. Louis Blues may have scored first thus taking the lead but Duncan Keith helped the Chicago Blackhawks make a comeback as he scored the equalizer and then assisted the game winning goal. The Blackhawks are now hot as they are recovering from that horrible slump.
  • Nicklas Backstrom recorded a 48 save shutout to end the Minnesota Wild's losing streak at 7 by beating the Boston Bruins 2-0.
  • The Eastern Conference leading Rangers beat the Colombus Blue Jackets in overtime 3-2 at MSG to gain even more ground on top of the standings. Will Rick Nash be playing there in a few days?
MLB:
  •  Mike Cameron decided to retire rather than try to make it with the Washington Nationals as he had signed a minor-league contract in December. Congratulations on a great career!
  • Kyle Kendrick and the Philadelphia Phillies agreed on a 2 year deal worth $7.5 million. This new contract cancels the previous one which made them avoid arbitration.
  • The Yankees and Pirates have both announced in their sites the A.J. Burnett trade as the Yankees former pitcher passed his physical.
Soccer:
  • In the Sunday's FA Cup 5th Round's action Liverpool beat Brighton and Hove A. 6-1 as the visiting team scored 3 own goals! Stoke City move on to the next round as they beat Crawley 0-2 with goals from Walters (penalty kick) and Crouch. The only upset came in the Stevenage - Tottenham matchup as the game ended 0-0.
  • Serie A's sunday action was highlighted by Roma's win against Parma of 1-0, Cesena losing 1-3 to AC Milan and Palermo's thrashing of Lazio 5-1.
  • In Spain, the action was highlighted by the win of Mallorca against Villareal 4-0, Atletico Madrid's draw against Sporting Gijon and Valencia's loss to Barcelona of 5-1! Messi scored four goals while Xavi Hernandez added the other one.
