NFL:
- Plaxico Burress might be heading to Philly if the Eagles want him as he is friends with Michael Vick and would really like to join them. Making bad moves one after another.
- Trade rumors on who will trade for the Rams first round pick are heating up a lot and there is even a mystery team in on it. Who do you think will trade for it and possibly get Robert Griffin III?
- The Dallas Cowboys, who failed to do anything last year in free-agency will look to make an impact and are interested in Cortland Finnegan and Brandon Carr. Look for Dallas to fail qualifying for the playoffs next year too.
- In other Dallas news, owner, Jerry Jones would take Tony Romo over Andrew Luck and RG3. I cannot stop laughing.
- This free-agency period could see a reunion. The New York Jets will possibly lose Plaxico and are looking to bring back Braylon Edwards. Things seem to be going in the right direction for the Jets...
- Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints have not reached a contract agreement and as days goes on him getting the franchise tag seems more possible than ever. The Saints want to pay Brees as a "very good" QB and not as a "great" one. Come on Saints...
- Carl Nicks of the Saints wants his quarterback to get franchised so he gets the big money instead and he is anxious to wait what will happen this free-agency. I imagine how anxious you can be when you know that you will become a millionaire in the coming weeks. If you are not one already...
- Kris Dielman of the San Diego Chargers announced his retirement. Huge blow to the Bolts' offensive line. Congratulations on a great career.
- Linebacker Ahmad Brooks of the San Francisco 49ers got a six year deal from the team worth $44.5 million of which $17.5 million are guaranteed.
- Dancing with the Stars will feature yet another football player as Donald Driver of the Green Bay Packers will be in it. Which sports player would you like to see on DWTS next?
- The Pittsburgh Steelers are cleaning the house. The biggest cut until now was the cut of WR Hines Ward. Ward thanked the organization for all the amazing years and also said that he won't stop playing football so you might see him on an NFL field next year. The Steelers obviously want to become younger as they cut Aaron Smith and James Farrior too.
- In Peyton Hillis news, he is looking for his 4th agent in a span of less than a year and there was a report that he was thinking to retire to join the CIA. What has happened to this player is the pure definition of the NFL Madden cover curse.
- Quarterback Carson Palmer thinks that the Oakland Raiders are close to being a championship team. Coming from a team who wasn't even in the playoffs next year. Step by step Carson...
- Another NFL scandal has popped up and this time it's "Bounty-Gate". Teams and players were paid to hurt players. Teams involved as of now are mainly the New Orleans Saints, this could stain their Superbowl win, the Washington Redskins and the Tennessee Titans who were paid to injure Peyton Manning.
NBA:
- According to Alex Rodriguez, Kobe Bryant was considering retirement because of his knee pain. You can read the interview on the Los Angeles Times.
- The Orlando Magic are doing everything they can to make Dwight Howard stay as they are trying to trade for Monta Ellis and Steve Nash. Will they be successful ? I don't think so. I see them keeping Dwight until summer and then him leaving.
- Kevin Garnett called a players meeting before the All-Star game because things are going so well for the Boston Celtics.
- Michael Beasley might be in the trade market and Boston and New Jersey are interested in him. The Lakers were offered a deal for him but declined.
- Delonte West was homeless at the start of the NBA season. What?
- Former Blazers superstar Brandon Roy is thinking of making a comeback.
- Boston Celtics trade rumors are heating up as they could trade Rondo, Allen, Pierce or Garnett. It smells like blowup time in Boston.
- The Utah Jazz are interested in trading point guard Devin Harris whom they acquired in the Deron Williams trade last year.
- Dwight Howard will not sign an extension with the Los Angeles Lakers if he gets traded there.
- Allen Iverson is not broke as he has an account with a lot of millions of dollars in it that he can't access until the age of 55. He gets one million from it each year.
- Lamar Odom will play one game in the D-League. What a terrible year for him. :(
- Kings are pushing to trade J.J. Hickson reports Marc Stein of ESPN. He also reported that the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in Kirk Hinrich.
MLB:
- Houston Astros fans, your new close is... Brett Myers as he was moved out of the rotation and was assigned that role.
- Washington Nationals pitching prospect Sammy Solis will undergo Tommy John surgery.
- New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi says that only two spots are secure in the rotation. C.C. Sabathia and Hiroki Kuroda. So this will make Michel Pineda and Ivan Nova compete for a rotation spot. Weird move, do not agree with it as Nova had an amazing year and Pineda was traded to the Yankees for a reason.
- Red Sox new manager Bobby Valentine is trolling the Yankees and their fans. No one cares Bobby, if you want to prove something do it on the field.
- For all of those who care, Bryce Harper has deleted his Twitter account.
- You can be happy St. Louis Cardinals fans! Superstar catcher Yadier Molina and the Cardinals reached a new contract deal of $75 million for five years. He deserved it.
- Philadelphia Phillies superstar first-baseman Ryan Howard has suffered a setback on his injury.
- Bad news for Cleveland Indians fans as Grady Sizemore will be out 8 to 12 weeks after his surgery.
- Mike Stanton of the Miami Marlins wants to be called Giancarlo Stanton as that is one of his birth names.
- Buster Olney says that he has talked to a lot of players and most of them are not happy with the Ryan Braun decision.
- Hal Steinbrenner wants the Yankees payroll to drop to $189 million by 2014 but Brian Cashman has insisted that the Yankees will still be the Yankees.
- Miguel Montero and the Arizona Diamondbacks have stopped talking on a contract extention.
- Former #1 draft pick of the New York Yankees Brien Taylor was arrested for cocaine trafficking.
- The bad luck keeps on going for new Pittsburgh pitcher A.J. Burnett as he bunted a ball into his eye and will now be out 8 to 10 weeks. Maybe he should change his jersey number or something.
- Closer John Axford and the Milwaukee Brewers are discussing a long term deal.
- Franklin Guttierez of the Seattle Mariners will possibly miss the start of the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
- The biggest MLB news of the week is the new playoff format. Here is a picture explaining it:
