- After Dwayne Wade's hard foul on him during the All-Star games Los Angeles superstar Kobe Bryant suffered a mild concussion and a broken nose. Great and as much as I respect D-Wade it wasn't necessary to do that especially in the All-Star game. It's a game you play for the fun of it not for destroying your opponent.
- Rejoice Orlando Magic fans! Well at least for now as Dwight Howard's mom wants him to stay Orlando. Of course that just his mother speaking, he is a grown man and will make his own decision but always listen to mom.
- The Portland Trail Blazers who recently acquired Joel Przybilla, fired Armon Johnson to make available a roster pace for their new player.
- Did the Columbus Blue Jackets trade Rick Nash? Nope. Did he want to get traded? Yes as the general manager of the Blue Jackets revealed. Bad choice from the front-office but no team decided to trade for him as the asking price was too high. Apparently they asked for Ryan Callahan from the Rangers... You expect them to give him to you when they are doing so well this season? C'mon...
- The NHL traded deadline has come and gone. It was a trade deadline that unfortunately didn't feature any blockbusters but here are the trades that went down: (COMING)

- Joel Zumaya who will miss all of the year from yet another injury has not started thinking about retirement but it is definitely an option.
- In retirement news, the big one came from the Boston Red Sox as long time captain Jason Varitek retired and former Phillies pitcher Danys Baez retired on Monday. Congratulations on great careers.
